Researchers at the University of Guelph are looking for parents and caregivers who have youth aged 13-18 who have struggled with self-injury.
Researcher, Isabelle Hau is hoping the study will gather the following information
- Understanding of the experiences (e.g., needs and concerns) of parents and caregivers of youth who have self-injured.
- Different opinions on what may help parents and caregivers when supporting youth who engage in self-injury.
- Help inform future research and efforts to help parents and caregivers of youth who self-injure.
As part of this study, participants will be asked to complete a brief online questionnaire and take part in a separate online interview.

This research is being conducted by Isabelle Hau, under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Lewis, as part of her master’s research.
