In partnership with NOSM University, FIREFLY offers this excellent opportunity to work and learn with a wide range of pediatric health professionals in your home community to help build knowledge and professional connections.

“The NOSM Summer Studentship at FIREFLY gave me a glimpse into my future by providing valuable hands-on experience I would not have gained in the classroom. I had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across both developmental services and mental health and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support children and families. From travelling to surrounding communities to assisting in Complex Feeding and Swallowing Clinics to contributing to the LibBib project, I gained exposure to areas of pediatric care that expanded my perspective and skill set. Beyond the professional growth, this experience allowed me to build a deeper connection with my community and form lasting friendships and connections. It reinforced my passion for nutrition and my desire to work in a field that fosters collaboration and holistic care.” – Emma Manzie
