Anchored

FIREFLY’s Anchored group provides parents, caregivers, and any one else (professional or otherwise) who are involved with a family experiencing separation divorce. This three-session group offers a supportive space to understand what your children may be experiencing, learn how to talk with them about separation, and find strategies to help them feel secure and supported. We’ll also focus on strengthening your own stability as a parent – managing stress, staying steady, and knowing where to turn for support. Finally, we’ll cover practical tools for handling conflict, setting boundaries, and communicating effectively when parenting is at its most difficult.

Caregivers with children of any age can participate. The group is run over three sessions. Each session can stand alone but works best if all three are attended. Each session is one hour in duration.

Please note – This is a group information session. We are not legal professionals and do not work for child welfare services. While we’re here to offer support and guidance, we are unable to provide legal advice or intervene in legal matters.

Circle of Security® Parenting Program

Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is a relationship-based parenting program for parents and caregivers. COSP uses thoughtful discussion to help parents focus and reflect on: their strengths and their struggles to meet their child’s needs, how their experience of being cared for influences their own caregiving, and their capacity to co-regulate their children’s emotions. COSP shows caregivers a path to a safe and supportive relationship which focuses on children’s needs rather than behaviours.

COSP is ideal for parents and caregivers of children ages 4 months to 6 years old. It consists of eight to ten 90 minute sessions.

High Intensity Kids

High Intensity Kids (HIK) is designed for parents and caregivers of children of any age who feel deeply and respond intensely. It offers a supportive space to connect with others who understand these unique parenting experiences.

Over the course of four one-hour sessions, participants will gain insight into what makes these kids “tick” and explore realistic, effective caregiving strategies tailored to their needs.

Participation is flexible – caregivers are welcome to engage at their own comfort level. Turning on cameras or speaking is not required.
